The opportunity:


The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst – COE Enterprise Core Systems provides IT QA leadership along with advanced expertise and guidance in the development of standards, procedures, tool selection and process improvement related to application development, maintenance, and operation/system support activities. + This individual will function as the QA Lead within an Agile Scrum team environment and may be

required to provide direction and mentoring to other Quality Assurance Analysts within the team. + The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst will apply practical experience in the key disciplines of software engineering to deliver incremental but complete pieces of business value to stakeholders. + The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst is an innovative team-oriented individual who shows capability and experience in collaborating with others (teams or other stakeholders) to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention, usability and functional enhancements. + This person will have an influential role within our organization helping to drive the delivery of high

quality software aligned with WestRock Enterprise-wide Strategic roadmap.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Plan and execute high quality software launches by planning, documenting, maintaining and

overseeing the execution of WestRock’s QA strategy. + Consults with the business units, information technology colleagues and vendors to translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into executable tests of developed code. + Provide test plan leadership and serve as a single point of contact for project meetings. + Contributes to information technology projects and initiatives helping aid project teams in the understanding and use of information technology standards and procedures. + Ensures that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. + Engage and participate in all aspects of design reviews, test and project plans, resource estimates and implementation schedules. + Publish software defect reports, testing KPIs and report on overall software stability at project team meetings and go-live activities. + Provide leadership and serve as the owner for various testing tools which includes from multiple software applications. + Commit to delivering the highest-quality enterprise applications possible to our business partners and customers. + Provide governance to ensure the QA strategy supports our solution requirements. + Create principles, policies, standards and guidelines in support of WestRock’s QA solution strategy. + Ensure that the company’s IT outsourcing partners adhere to WestRock QA strategy in accordance with the company’s policy, guiding principles and technical strategy.

What you need to succeed:


Experienced working within formal IT methodologies (for example: CMM/CMMi, Six Sigma,

Agile or similar methodologies). + Experience working as QA Lead in Agile Scrum environment. + Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies. + Expertise with standard software quality metrics and reporting. + 8 years direct experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of quality assurance standards for software testing. + 3-5 years experience in a structured QA environment testing IT enterprise applications and systems with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (SAP, Oracle, JDE, AS400, OTM, Panther, etc.). + Knowledge of test automation capabilities. + Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools and reporting software.
+ Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flow charts. + Unwavering commitment to deliver high-quality enterprise applications to our internal and external customers. + Leadership skills, to drive change, direct others and influence the organization outside direct line of authority. + Excellent problem solving, dispute resolution, team management and interpersonal skills. + Can establish and lead cross functional teams. + Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. + Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. + Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
