Spot Welder Operator 2 nd shift – Forest City, NC

Summary :

The Spot Welder Operator is responsible for the set-up and overall operation of the spot welder and the quality of the work produced.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Ensure that welding fixtures are loadedEnsure that electrode tips are in proper working order at all timesMust run 1st off part for Quality approval.Perform all job on/off transactionsMust conduct an hourly quality check of parts/componentsProperly identify and tag all containers for receipt into inventoryEnsure a part drawing is available for Quality for 1st off approvalUse of proper Personal Protective Equipment required for machine/departmentMust maintain proper housekeeping in and around machine/work area.Other duties, as assigned

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED minimum.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and basic computer skills.

Other Qualifications

At least three months mechanical and manufacturing experience.
